so i'm really considering veganism. i met a cow once and i really had a connection with it, but i didn't realize how horrible they treat animals in slaughterhouses until i saw one of those peta videos last night. now i know why they call them slaughterhouses, sheesh.

unfortunately that means i have to give up all leather products, and milk and eggs. i really love meat. it's so good. i think i might not be a vegan now. wait, yes i will. i hate killing animals. once i saw a raccoon in the street and that's the first time i really felt bad about eating meat. until the peta video anyway. then i really felt bad. really really i mean.

then again, you have to kill vegetables to eat them, right? so it's just as bad. right? you grow something for the sole purpose of killing it. but then what would we eat if we didn't kill anything? things that were already dead? that's what scavengers do. maybe they're the most moral of all animals. they didn't have to kill anything to eat it, they let someone else do the dirty work.

until i figure all of this out i'm just going to drink water. hopefully i figure it out before tomorrow. because not eating for more than like a day would be pretty bad. really bad actually. i hate being hungry. it's pretty much the worst thing ever, except for murder and rape, and maybe extortion.

recently, during marching band practice, I was waving my arms around, trying to get percussion to be quieter, and I had a revelation. it was one of those moment-of-clarity, the-whole-world-makes-sense-now, boy-do-i-have-to-write-this-down-or-else-i'll-forget-it-and-then-i'll-be-right-back-where-i-was,no-better-than-i-was-yesterday moments.

i realized, that like, life is not all about being italian. i know that sounds dumb, but like, there's more to life than being italian, playing the keyboard, acting in plays, doing homework, going to homecoming, whatever. i realized that there are so many things in life i haven't done yet, like go to greenland. i've always wondered what is so great about greenland, but that thought is never at the front of my mind. it just sits back, behind all the keyboard-playing, homework-doing, homecoming-date-seeking stuff. but not anymore. now i am going to remember all that stuff too. like learning a foreign language! or learning how to ribbon dance! stuff that i would never do if i didn't make a choice to remember to think about it.

good thing i wrote that down.

today after school I practiced the keyboard. I love playing the keyboard, and just going crazy in general. I can't wait till halloween. I think I'm going to be mussolini for halloween. or maybe pavarati. I could pretty much be either of those guys.

I asked Krista to homecoming at the football game! It was awesome!

Tonight(which is really Sunday morning)I hung out with Krista.

-First of all to all my friends I did not have my cell phone today(i left it at Krista's) so I'm sorry if i didn't get back to you.-

WE went everywhere including getting into the Milwaukee Ale House as minors - which is illegal. I had a great time with her. She is cute and fun to be with. I am looking forward - can't wait - to have a great time with her at Guy/Girl and Homecoming!!!

One thing that made me furious tonight was when I was pulled over by a cop.

He said that my exhaust needed to be fixed and made me get out of the car to look at it. Ands then he asked me if I was drinking and asked me how old I was.(It made so mad!) And that was it. I was fine and he pulled me over for the heck of it.
